Monkey Fist Bangle Bracelet

Monkey Fist knots were originally tied around a weighted object and used as the end of a heaving line on sailing ships. The weighted knot would allow the sailors to send a messanger line from ship to ship or ship to shore attached to a heavier mooring or dock line.
